Need an officiant for your wedding, I might be able to help.

I just have some stipulations below.

Is Premarital Counseling Worth it? Studies say yes!

I’ve been in the wedding industry since 1995. It’s hard to believe I’ve been DJ’ing for almost 30 years, but here we are.

In 2010, I married my wife, and together we’ve built a life with three amazing kids. In 2015, I became an ordained minister…not because of some big spiritual moment, but as a business move to offer officiating alongside my DJ services. I quickly learned that officiating wasn’t just another service. It was something truly meaningful. Being part of a couple’s ceremony felt like an honor.

Still, a few years later, I removed officiating from my website. Not because I didn’t care, but because I felt like I was offering something out of convenience, not purpose. And if my heart’s not fully in something, I step back.

Then in 2022, a friend asked me to officiate her wedding. I agreed…and something shifted. That experience reignited my passion, and it also sparked a new direction. I felt a strong pull toward offering premarital coaching.

That couple let me walk through the process with them, and from the first session, I knew I had found something special. I began researching relationships, and one thing stood out: as more couples choose on-site wedding venues, things like premarital counseling/coaching started to fade away. It wasn’t about the location. It was about what was missing: honest, intentional conversations that lay the groundwork for a strong marriage.

That realization led me to where I am today. My focus is helping couples prepare not just for a wedding, but for a lifetime together. My coaching is personalized to each couple, whether they want faith woven in or not. The goal is always the same; to build a solid foundation for what comes after the “I do.”

And now, I’ve taken everything I’ve learned and put it into a book. A simple, practical guide to help couples strengthen their connection before stepping into marriage.

For me to be your Officiant:

  • It has to be an add on to a contract for me to be the DJ at your reception. *

  • You must participate in Premarital Coaching with me (At least 3 sessions) **

* This won’t affect me providing services during the wedding ceremony if you choose not to go with me. I simply would put a microphone on whoever you choose.

** See what’s involved in the Premarital Coaching Agreement (details in the next section)

Pre-Marital Coaching Agreement
Let’s start with a few things we need to agree on before we begin.

Purpose and Disclaimer

The purpose of this coaching is to give you tools, guidance, and support to help strengthen your relationship. I’m here to help you have important conversations and lay a solid foundation for your marriage. That said, I can’t guarantee any specific results, and I am not responsible for how things turn out after your wedding. I’m good at what I do, but I’m not a magician.

Also, I am not a licensed therapist or counselor. Coaching is an unregulated field, and my role is to support you as a couple, not to provide therapy.

Confidentiality

What we talk about stays private, with a few exceptions:

  1. If I suspect abuse of any kind

  2. If someone is at risk of harming themselves or others

  3. If there is a serious injury due to violence

  4. If I am legally required to report something

I may also consult with other professionals to improve the quality of my coaching. If your situation is ever discussed, your names and/or any identifying information will remain confidential.

No Secrets Policy

This coaching is built on honesty. That means both of you need to be open, not just with each other but with me as well.

If one of you shares something with me privately that you are not ready to share with your partner, I will not keep that information hidden. Instead, I will help bring it into the conversation in a safe and respectful way. My goal is always to support you as a couple, not as individuals in separate corners.

Participation and Requirements

Coaching is completely voluntary. However, if I am also serving as your DJ and officiant, I do require a minimum of three sessions.

  • If you choose to end coaching before completing the three sessions, the fee will be adjusted, but I will not officiate the wedding.

  • This does not affect any DJ services you have booked. Your reception will still be a celebration to remember.

  • If you are doing coaching as a standalone service, either of us can choose to end the sessions at any time.

This process is meant to help you start your marriage with clarity, connection, and confidence. It is a chance to talk through things that often get overlooked and to avoid those “I wish we talked about this earlier” moments.

Jerry has phenomenal wisdom and passion, he was perfect at providing our marriage coaching. When it comes to getting this type of service having someone who is wise, genuine, and is truly a good person is vital. That is exactly who Jerry is! I loved being able to trust him to guide us properly and to be able to confidentially confide in him. He genuinely cared about us and our relationship. Our relationship was positively impacted and I’m so glad we did this prior to getting married. Thank you so much Jerry for providing such a beneficial experience to us!

I never thought premarital coaching was as important as it is until after we worked with Jerry. Jerry brought a lot of knowledge and wisdom to us that not only helped us now, but will help our marriage though a lifetime.

Here are a few wedding receptions I was the officiant for…. I try to make every wedding unique and special to the couple… but I’m not reinventing the wheel here… if I come up with something that I can use in different ceremonies… there might be some overlap. Video quality kind of is what it is… I am a DJ not a videographer… to get footage, I set a camera down and hit record. Once and a while I can get footage from a professional… You’ll be able to tell when that happens.
